What are QR Codes

QR codes are a new technology that advertises your services to a mass audience. And now, Firecrest Systems have made a way to use the power of QR to advertise your business!

A Quick Response (QR) code is a two-dimensional or 2D bar code which can be interpreted by any mobile phone with camera capabilities. Through “scanning” the code by way of photographing it, and installing a a FREE APP or simple piece of software to your smartphone, anyone can access the information behind the QR.

QR codes work in a similar way to regular barcodes, but allow you to store an instruction such as a direct link to a part of your website. Anyone with a smartphone takes a picture of the code, and their phone works out what the instruction is. They can be displayed on flyers, posters or even screenprinted onto a car.

In order to use QR codes, you need to have a website to direct people to - if you don’t have a website yet, we can help with that too.

If you are interested in harnessing the potential of QR codes, talk to Firecrest Systems today!
